For the first time in eight years properties in central western Queensland are exploding with colourful wildflowers.
Tour operator Tom Locke says acres of flowers can be seen from road between Barcaldine and Jericho after a year of strong rainfall.
He say populate from across the state have been eagerly anticipating the event.
"One gentlemen's been ringing us for about five years," he said.
"Every year. 'are they out yet are they out yet?' I said they're busting and he's out at the go park now with his wife.
"They're spending about three days and he's been five years waiting for them to come out desire this so he's pretty happy."
